Deff Art finger-paints the old lighthouse whilst a crowd looks on, during the Chale Wote Festival in Accra. True Love is a lot like a lighthouse. No matter how old it gets, it is the only thing that leads us home; that place of inner peace and contentment, where we feel accepted and loved without having to try. Yes, the sea brings its adventures with it, much like life. But no matter how exhilarating or scary it gets, we always at some point, would want to go back home. A lighthouse is stationary for a reason. It is immune to the times and seasons. True love is a lot like that. I have watched many sailors stay out at sea for way too long, only to come home and see another ship has docked in their place, and they feel betrayed. In those situations, it wasn't the lighthouse that changed, it was the sailor who drifted. He for a moment enjoyed the sea so much he thought he was a fish. True love is so steady, we all have a tendency to take it for granted. Don't make that mistake.
